Mejorar

Muchas veces, veo las galerias de la gente y todos sus dibujos son casi iguales. Puedes buscar sus trabajos mas antiguos, digamos de hace un par de años, y se parecen mucho a sus dibujos de ahora. ¿No habeis visto esto mismo vosotros por aqui? Quizas incluso os ocurra a vosotros mismos.

Esta bien que los artistas encuentren su estilo y se mantengan en el, pero es bastante triste cuando se dedican a seguir haciendo los mismos dibujos, sin mejorar en nada. Id a mirar galerias, se pueden ver algunas con literalmente cientos de dibujos que parecen todos iguales, repiten los mismos erroes y no mejoran en ningun aspecto...

Entonces, ¿Por que la gente no mejora? ¿Como podeis mejorar vuestras habilidades?

Basicamente:

- Muchas veces los dibujantes no se atreven a probar cosas nuevas. No deberiais dejar de probar nuevas maneras de dibujar. Por supuesto, puedes acabar haciendo algunas obras que no sean muy buenas, pero abriras tu mente a nuevas ideas y eso se reflejara en tus futuros dibujos.

- Tambien, la gente no suele tener pelotas. Nunca critican los trabajos de otros y siempre les dan cumplidos. Por supuesto, tambien les da muchisimo miedo que vengan otras personas y encuentren errores en sus dibujos.

Asi que, no tengais miedo de probar cosas nuevas. Y no os enfadeis si alguien encuentra un error en uno de vuestros dibujos. Todas esas son oportunidades para mejorar.

On improving

Often, I watch some deviant's gallery and find their pictures are all very similar. You can check their early works, say a couple years ago, and they look pretty much like their current drawings. Haven't you seen this same thing around here quite often? Maybe you even had it happen to yourself.

It's fine when artists finds their style and keep on it, but it's really poor when they keep doing the same kind of pictures, with no improvement at all. Go check some galleries! You can even find some with literally a couple hundred pictures that look all the same, repeat the same errors and show no improvement at all...

So why don't people improve? How can you improve your skills?

Basically:

- Often drawers don't dare to try new things. You shouldn't give up on trying new ways to draw. Of course you might end with a couple of not so good works, but you will also open your mind to new ideas and that will show in your future pictures.

- Also, most people don't have any balls. They will never critique other people's works and they always give compliments. Of course, they are dreadfully afraid of other people finding errors on their pictures too.


So, don't be afraid to try new things. And don't be pissed if someone finds a flaw in one of your works. Those are oportunities to improve.
